Food production is considered to be a complimenting facility to the agricultural and animal activity in the project. And because the company is concerned in investing in this field, a number of factories have been built and operated which serve this purpose.
Fruit nectar and Jam production plant was established in 1996. The machines were purchased from Techni and Stree Co. Production is in two stages; the first is by turning the fruit into nectar, and the second is by turning the nectar into jam. The production size is decided by the market demand; the plant production capacity is approximately 2 tons/hour. The company has now installed new plant to produce natural clear juice from fruit or nectar.
The Honeybee project was first established in April 1994, with only 100 hives. The main goal was to help in pollinating fruit blossoms that will increase its production to 35-40%, but it has now developed into honey production. Within five years, the number of hives increased to reach 700 hives, and the first year’s production was 900 kg, which now is 4000 kg. There will also be an increase in the number of hives to reach 1000 in the 2002-year plan.
