The company has gained an important place in wheat seed producers in the kingdom and it has been granted an official license from the Ministry of the water and agriculture and is a member in the Saudi seed producing committee. Watania produces organic vegetable seeds and exports a part of them to America and Europe. The company will also produce clover seeds in commercial quantities in the near future in addition to processing tomato seeds for manufacturing. The planted area has reached now 15,000 hectares distributed over 300 central pivots (Sprinkler machine). Planted in these fields, are different kinds of crop, such as, forage: corn and clover, which are used as feed for sheep in winter. Also, seeds: e.g. wheat, and barley and vegetables such as: potatoes and onions. Further more the company since, 1997 has also started extensive planting tomatoes in under Pivots.
