The use of Sub Surface Drip irrigation system : 
Al-Watania as applied an underground irrigation technique with tomatoes and fodder which achieves many benefits in water conservation. This system saves:

• Money for maintenance and operation of the central sprinkling machine.

• 40% of the fertilizers

• 40 % of the insecticides and fungicides, and 80% of herbicides.

• Decreasing the yield loss

• Produces product of high quality.

• Increases the efficiency of harvesters and decreases costs for spare parts.

Al-Watania realizes that agricultural development is a strategic goal in the move towards ensuring food safety, and the preservation of our most valuable resource, water, is a sound and wise decision.
It has been added in planting field crops and fruit trees where tomato, clover and olive tree crops have been planted on experimental fields. This system is distinguished by decreasing the quantity of evaporating water during high weather temperatures, thereby decreasing water consumption.
Additionally, a Main Header system has been installed comprising a main pipe for distribution of water in the new expansion of the project. The system is designed to receive water from a number of producing wells and to discharge it to central sprinklers of individual fields. This provides operational security in the event of any malfunction that may occur in the wells and enables the optimization of shared water from a central point of distribution.
